About Us

Tribal Shoppe grew from a very real experience — one that began in the field, not a boardroom.
Founded by a retired government official who spent years working with India’s tribal communities, the idea was simple: to create a space where the artistry of these communities could be seen, valued, and sustained.

Through those years of working on the ground, he witnessed the skill, patience, and pride that go into every handcrafted piece — and also the struggles artisans face in finding fair markets. Tribal Shoppe was born to bridge that gap.
We stay connected with artisans in villages and forest regions all over India. Each product — Dhokra brass, bamboo craft, woven basket or hand-painted décor — is made slowly and honestly, the way it has been for generations.

Our job is to support them — to ensure fair pay, share design inputs, and help their craft find its way to people who value real, handmade work. In return, we receive something truly special: honest, soulful work made with heart, not machines.

Tribal Shoppe isn’t just an online store. It’s a growing circle of artisans and believers who know that good things take time — and that handmade things carry a spirit no factory can replicate. When you buy from us, you help an artisan earn with dignity and keep a tradition alive, one craft at a time.
